The sales of King Charles’ line of jams have increased significantly as a result of Meghan Markle’s new venture, American Rivera Orchard.
Since its launch on March 14, the 42-year-old Duchess of Sussex has been sending out products from her new lifestyle brand on Wednesday. A list of friends and influencers who posted pictures of the stylish products online received 50 jars of jam from Meghan.
Her father-in-law’s line of preserves appeared to suffer as a result of the move because, according to the MailOnline, his strawberry jam sold out on the official Highgrove website just hours after pictures of Meghan’s products appeared on social media.
The Monarch also sells marmalade, English damson, raspberry and blackberry, and rhubarb and ginger flavors. In the 1990s, Charles started selling produce from the Duchy of Cornwall estate. He has since continued to do so from his own property at Highgrove.
Meghan’s tracks, meanwhile, offer an early look at her thrilling new professional endeavor.
Fashion designer Tracy Robbins and polo player Nacho Figueras’ wife Delfina Blaquier were among the recipients of her debut product. As with all Meghan does, the jam was super stylish.
A piece of hessian fabric was used to cover the jar’s lid, which was fastened with a cotton bow. The label showcased the American Riviera Orchard logo along with what seems to be the author’s handwriting indicating the batch number of each jar out of 50.
Designer Tracy posted this amazing picture of her jam jar with bright yellow lemons surrounding it, along with the caption, “Thank you for the delicious basket! I’m not sure if I’ll share this jam with anyone because I adore it so much. I’m grateful, M.”
In the meantime, Delfina, a close friend, posted a picture of herself using the strawberry jam and enjoying it as a topping for white toast.
“Jammed strawberries bring me joy. “And I [love] your jam,” she wrote on Instagram, tagging American Riviera Orchard.
Although Meghan hasn’t disclosed many details about the brand thus far, the trademark application filing has identified several potential products.
They included cookbooks in print and digital format, silverware, dinnerware, and decanters, napkins, tablecloths, and a variety of foodstuffs like butters, spreads, and jams.
Royal expert Christine Ross provided insight on Meghan’s future move, telling HELLO! that “American Riviera Orchard is a logical next step for Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.” Her website, The Tig, was becoming more and more well-known prior to her marriage.
“There was an outcry for her honest content and glimpses into her lifestyle when it was closed before her wedding. These websites are appealing because of their relatability—as if we shared the same breakfast recipes, we could attain the same degree of elegance or glamour.”
Meghan maintained a personal lifestyle blog called The Tig prior to becoming engaged to Prince Harry.
